In a surprising partnership that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Uncovered

According to the formal release, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of banned ceremonies and fearsome transformations echo through the obscurity." The plot presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.

The mission focuses on "peculiar trials and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Changes

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
